The Celebration of Allen’s Life Was Super!
What a great turnout! The place (The Diamond Ink Gallery) was fantastic, the food was excellent and the people who attended were very supportive to our family. There were great stories about my dad; many that I’d never heard before.
I’ve set up a gallery of photos from the celebration. Feel free to send photos you may have taken at the event if you have them. I’ll integrate them into the gallery.
Thanks to all those who attended.
Patrick Nedobeck, a longtime family friend, has graciously agreed to host a get together to remember the life and person of Allen Smith. Patrick, his dad, Don, his mom, Liz and sisters Beth and Missy have known our family for over 40 years. We are really fortunate to have great friends like the Nedobeck’s during this difficult time. The Nedobeck’s own an art gallery at 218 S. 2nd Street in Milwaukee, WI where we will gather starting at 5PM on the 29th. The plan at this point is to congregate until 9PM or so and then, for those of you who want to, move on to one of many local establishments for whatever comes to pass. I’ll post more info as it becomes available. If you have a favorite photo or story, feel free to send it to me at: Greg Smith
I am setting this site to honor my dad, Allen Smith. He slipped away on April 6th, 2006 peacefully in his sleep. He was an interesting and special person so I am sure there will be a lot to mention. Our family is planning a celebration of his life and there will be details here when we know more. Thanks already to those of you who have lent support in this difficult time.Saturday April 29th, 2006 is the date for Allen’s rememberance
